Self-Evaluation Help Guide for Identifying Spiritual Gift(s)

 

  • Pray, pray, pray for direction!

 

  • What kind of jobs or services do people usually ask you to do?

 

  • For what activities, attitudes, or behavior do people usually notice or compliment you?

 

  • Are you the type of person that rarely gets asked to do things? If so, why?

 

  • Do you ever volunteer for any type of job or service to others that gives you significant satisfaction or joy? If so, what? Why do you volunteer for that type of job or service?

 

  • Do you ever volunteer for any type of job or service to others that frustrates or overwhelms you? If so, what? Why do you volunteer for that type of job or service?

 

  • Do you feel drawn to a particular type of people? If so, what type and why?

 

  • What are the strongest areas of your Christian life? Why?

 

  • What are the weakest areas of your Christian life? Why?

 

  • What are your abilities in terms of talents and skills?

 

  • If you had a choice between one job that required a lot of verbal communication in one form or another, and another job that required you to perform a task, which job would you prefer? Why?

 

  • Do you prefer to share information one-on-one, with a small group or with a large group if all situations are in a casual, relaxed atmosphere? Why?

 

  • Would you rather work on a group project or a project alone? Why?

 

  • How often do you “renew your mind” in your spiritual life?

 

  • Do you feel you are “growing up” (maturing) in the faith so that you can identify the ministry(ies) He calls you to?

 

  • Do you feel compelled or drawn to certain types of needs in the church body? If so, which ones and why?
